Clinical Exercise/Pilates

Pilates was established in the early 20th Century by Joseph Pilates. Since then it has evolved and is seen world wide. It’s used for physical health – increasing flexibility, core strength, balance, posture and control.

At Northside Physio we conduct Clinical Exercise where the foundations are stemmed from Pilates. This is specifically designed programs tailored to your needs and levels. Each client is individually assessed for their specific needs and independently instructed.

At Northside Physio we use clinical reformers and trapeze tables in combination with floor exercises to move forward your injury and rehabilitation. Each session is individually tailored to your injury and progression. Not only will you see the difference, but also enjoy the variety and fun side to doing exercise.

To start participating you will need to have an individual assessment by our physiotherapist. From the assessment we can determine short and long term goals and begin the journey. Typically you will have 1-2 one on one sessions with your physiotherapist and then when you are ready placed into a small group class of 3-4 people.

No matter what level you are – this is an exercise for you. It is low impact, evidence based driven and specifically designed for you. Not only will you manage your injury but continue to prevent future episodes and improve your health journey.
