February Clinic Updates

Happy Feb everyone! We hope everything has gone smoothly so far this year as school and work heads back, coinciding nicely with the year of the horse starting 🐎🥮🌝! We have just a few fun bits and pieces to update you this month.

Back to school (and sport!)

It’s the time of year again when the kiddos are back at school and recommencing sport, and we know how big of an adjustment this can be post-summer holidays ☀️
Our physios have a few recommendations for the return to school and sport:

  • Keep an eye out for new or re-appearing injuries or aches and pains;
  • Check your kids’ sport shoes still fit, and get new ones if not;
  • Be aware as older kids’ laptop time increases—this can lead to new postural issues;
  • Bring them in for a check-up with one of our physios if anything is bothersome—both school or sport related!

Getting to know: Angus

Our physio Angus is a bit of a mystery to many of us, but he is actually really fun so we thought that we would draw some fun facts out of him.
Angus graduated from Bachelor of Physiotherapy at James Cook University in North Queensland. Following his graduation in 2017, he worked in the Gold Coast then Melbourne, before jetting off to the UK on a two-year working holiday adventure. Angus worked as a physio in London, Cardiff and Glasgow and has now since returned to plant his feet firmly back in Melbourne.

Angus has a strong passion for sports and surf-related injuries, although he thoroughly enjoys the variety of treating whatever may come through the door.

5 Really Fun Facts from Angus

🚐🌮His first time overseas was a camping/van trip down the coast of Mexico with his brothers;

👦🏼🏫He grew up in rural North Queensland and his school had about 60 students;

🥪🥇Every weekend Angus tries a new sandwich shop on the hunt for the best sandwich in Melbourne;

💿🎶He has a substantial collection of vinyl records;

🏄🏼‍♂️🌲He’s an outdoor enthusiast, and loves hiking and surfing.

Now we know a couple of things about the illusive Angus, so next time you see him, drop your sandwich shop recos and ask him about his favourite records at the moment. He is a really cool guy🫶🏼

Angus works Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, give us a buzz or look online to book in with him.

Northside Football Club 2026 Season sponsorship

For the second year running, Northside Physio will be sponsoring Northside Football Club’s soccer season! Northside Football Club is a new club, in their second year, for women and gender-diverse athletes. They’re growing rapidly and becoming a solid part of the Northside community.
Alongside sharing a very cool name, we share a lot of our values with Northside Football Club and are proud to engage in a strong and supportive relationship with the club and their community. We will be supporting players with physiotherapy during pre-season and throughout.
