Professional development: PGP

Ella recently completed Pelvic Health Australia’s Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP) course. PGP is pain around the pelvis, and can originate from a number of structures such as the sacroiliac joints, pubic symphysis, or coccyx.
PGP is commonly associated with pregnancy, but it can also occur outside of pregnancy in any stage of life. Because there are a number of factors that can contribute to the cause of PGP, it’s important to be thoroughly assessed by a physiotherapist to ensure they can tailor you a rehabilitation plan with manual therapy, advice and exercises that are suitable for you.
PSA for Pilates
We have recently had a few knicks on our reformers, so we are asking our lovely Pilates patients to please remove rings and avoid wearing clothing with zippers to your Clinical Pilates sessions. This will help to ensure the longevity of our reformers! Thank you in advance 😊
